Description

The Richard L. Averitte Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Richard L. Averitte, who was a music educator with Akron Public Schools for 31 years before becoming the first Executive Director of the Coming Together Project. Mr. Averitte died of cancer in 1997, but his legacy of supporting the continuing education of young people continues through this fund.
